Agree the Period and Opening Records
When changing applications, identify the last completed payroll period and the records needed for the next calculation. Without this boundary, a component change or an amount from an earlier period may be applied incorrectly.
We discuss reference dates, relevant balances or accumulated amounts, and confirmed payroll results. Your company can identify which historical records are still needed for calculations and reports. The scope follows the requirements for using and checking the new application.
Match Components to Company Rules
Component names in the previous system may differ from those in the new application. Distinguish fixed amounts, calculated results, and supporting records. Treating all of them as equivalent opening values can produce payroll results that do not follow company rules.
We help map components and review calculation examples. Company rules are confirmed before configuration. This gives the payroll team clear guidance on the records to prepare and any calculations that need further explanation.
Compare Results with Previous Payroll Data
Compare the same payroll period, employee group, and source records. If attendance or allowance amounts change between calculations, the resulting difference may have nothing to do with migration. Keep the reference consistent throughout the checks.
We review sample components and investigate differences with the payroll team. These may arise from opening values, calculation rules, or changes that have not been confirmed. After corrections, results are checked again before payroll is processed operationally.
